Crater freshman Josiah Tostenson edged out teammate Tyrone Gorze to win the Class 5A boys 1,500 meters in 3:59.74 to 4:00.04 in a surprising finish at Hayward Field on Saturday. The Comets finished second to Silverton in the team race, 79 to 69.
